It is winter, it is cold, and riding outside can feel like a chore, especially if every ride ends with a full bike wash. Getting your gravel bike properly winter-ready means faster cleaning, better protection against salt and grime, and fewer excuses not to ride. Dynamic Bike Care offers all the products needed for a simple, step‑by‑step routine that cleans, protects, and keeps your bike ready to roll, so you can say goodbye to the sofa and get out in the wild!

Here is our simple step-by-step guide to getting your steed ready!

1. Rinse and foam the bike

  • Rinse the whole bike with clean water to remove loose mud, sand, and road salt, avoiding direct high pressure at bearings.

  • Using the Super Soaper, cover the frame, fork, wheels, and cockpit with Bio Filth Fighter, then let it sit for a couple of minutes so it can dissolve dirt.

2. Clean the drivetrain

  • Rinse the drivetrain with water, then spray Bio Drivetrain Detox onto the chain, cassette, chainrings, and derailleurs.

  • Let it work for 2–3 minutes, scrub with a suitable brush, then rinse thoroughly with water so no degreaser remains on the metal parts.

3. Wash off and dry

  • Use the Super Soaper and Bio Filth Fighter again where needed, then rinse the entire bike with clean water until all foam and residue are gone.

  • Dry the bike with Dynamics Microfibre cloths, paying attention to the chain, cassette, bolts, and contact points so there is no standing water that can freeze or cause corrosion.

Dynamic Bike Care Perfect Prep
Before you add the finishing touches, make sure it’s perfect

4. Prep the surfaces

  • Once the bike is completely dry, spray Perfect Prep onto Dynamics Microfibre cloths and wipe down the frame, fork, bars, seatpost, and wheels (avoiding rotors and tyres).

  • Work methodically so all previous cleaners and residues are removed, leaving a bare, clean surface ready for long‑lasting winter protection.

Dynamic Bike Care Secret Surface
Ohh a game changer! Secret Surface keeps your frame fresh. It acts as a guard against all that nasty dirt!

5. Apply winter protection

  • Apply Secret Surface with a clean Dynamics Microfibre cloth to frame, fork, wheels, and other exposed parts, keeping it well away from brake rotors and tyre tread.

  • Gently buff until no product is visibly left; this ceramic coating helps repel water, dirt, and salt for months, making post‑ride cleaning much faster in winter conditions.

Dynamic Bike Care Brake Booster
Give those brakes a boost!

6. Finish with brake cleaner

  • Spray Brake Booster directly onto the disc rotors and brake callipers (or onto a clean cloth first), then wipe away any oily film, road spray, or residue.

  • Allow the product to evaporate fully before riding; clean rotors improve braking power and help reduce squeal in wet, cold conditions.

After this routine, your gravel bike is cleaned, protected, and genuinely winter-ready, so all that is left to do on the next cold, muddy day is a quick rinse, a wipe with a Microfibre cloth, and then head out to ride.
